5 Mile and 23 Mile Family Bike Ride
Friday June 28th, in the parking lot of Spring Creek Golf Course. Registration is from 5-6 p.m., with the ride starting at 6. Entry fee is $10 if postmarked by 6/25 and $12 after that date. Five Mile and One Mile Fun Run
Saturday, June 29th, at the Water Street entrance to the Colbert County Courthouse. The Five Mile Run begins at 8:00 a.m., with the One Mile Run at 9:15. Pre-Registration fee due by June 25 is $15 (five mile), and $10 (One Mile). Entry fee on race day is $20(Five mile), and $15 (One Mile). Helen Keller Festival Golf Tournament
Format is a 3-man scramble, to be held June 29th-30th at Spring Creek Golf Course. Entry fee is $67 per person. Fee includes cart and mulligan’s for both days. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 places in each flight, as well as long drive and closest to the pin each day. Lunch will be provided on Saturday. A practice round will be given when all team members have paid. No practice rounds can be played on Friday June 28th.

Calvary Mission Q 2nd Annual Backyard BBQ Competition
Time: Friday, June 14 & Saturday, June 15, 2013
Twenty three teams gathered in Tuscumbia’s Spring Park for the first annual Mission Q BBQ Competition in 2012. Eight of these teams finished in the Top Ten in the state on the Alabama Bar-b-que Trail. We expect over 50 Backyard BBQ teams to participate in Mission Q 2013. Mission Q is organized by Calvary Baptist Church as an outreach and fundraising activity to support their missions ministry. Mission Q 2013 opens Friday night with Swamp John’s Catfish, Gospel and Contemporary Christian music and an “Anything But” competition. Saturday’s competition includes chicken, pork ribs(spare or loin), and pork(shoulder or butt) divisions. $4,000 in prize money will be awarded including $1,000 to the Grand Champion. 2013 Helen Keller Festival Car & Truck Show
The car and truck show will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013, on Main Street in downtown Tuscumbia. $1,200 in cash, plus prizes will be awarded. Mini-Piano Concert
Saturday, June 29, at 11:00 a.m., First Presbyterian Church, Tuscumbia, corner of Fourth and Broad Street. Come tour the church where Helen Keller was baptized and her family still attends services today! Enjoy a mini-piano concert performed by Dinie Stone, Music Director, followed by refreshments in the fellowship hall.

The Log Cabin, Coldwater Stagecoach Stop (overlooking beautiful Spring Park)
