Keller Kids
Keller Kids has been an important part of the Helen Keller Festival since 1994. It serves as an educational vehicle and is geared to fifth and sixth graders. Approximately 100 children will be involved in the Keller Kids program that begins at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 at the Tuscumbia Multi-Purpose Center. All children registered in the program are invited to ride/walk in the parade at 6:00 p.m.
Pre-registered children will spend the day participating in fun-filled activities designed to help children understand the everyday life of the blind and hearing impaired. The children will be taught how to sign along with song and this will be presented on the main stage in Spring Park on Saturday, June 25. Keller Kids is free of charge.
